Oregon is investing in new ways to meet the state’s housing demand. One example being the 2023 $20 million Modular Housing Development Fund – an idea that originated through iSector’s Housing Innovation Partnership (HIP) and is now creating real impact.
Oregon’s modular industry is scaling up. Funding has helped the following producers scale up their operations – and a few have shared short video tours that offer a behind-the-scenes look inside their factories. Check it out:
- InteliFab (Klamath Falls) – Expanded facility and workforce training, now producing a two-bedroom home every two days. [Watch the InteliFab tour]
- Pacific Wall Systems (Phoenix) – Added storage and production space to deliver modular components like wall panels, ADU kits, and more. [Watch the PacWall tour]
- Blazer Industries (Aumsville) – Scaling up to add 100-200 new homes each year by shifting commercial capacity toward housing. [Watch the Blazer tour]
- Zaugg Timber Solutions (Portland) – Investing in new equipment to expand production of modular housing using mass timber.
This fund is more than just dollars awarded – it’s a chance to see Oregon’s modular housing industry growing in real time. By strengthening manufacturers across the state, Oregon is building up the capacity needed to deliver more housing, more quickly.
Thank you to HIP members for shaping the idea that made this possible. Your vision continues to drive real innovation and results for Oregon’s housing future.
